This handcrafted cheese from pasteurised sheep´s milk is one our classics. Special to this cheese is its aromatic smoky flavour from beech wood and its soft texture. Our “Waldviertler smoked cheese” has been awarded with GOLD for its slight sourness and the smoky flavour within the “Käsiade 2016” and was honoured with the World Cheese Award 2017/18 (bonze medal). Our semi-hard cheeses are handcrafted, one by one, according to traditional recipes of our Waldviertel region.
